The German coach also praised Rafinha after his two goals and one assist, including a penalty in stoppage time, brought the team another victory.
‘I’m happy for him, he’s very important because in the first half he suffered a little bit and I told him to be positive. After 1-3 he did an incredible job.’
Asked if he believed Barcelona could turn things around after going 3-1 down, Flick said: ‘I always believe in positives. The second goal came at a crucial moment, it changed everything and it was great to see the attitude of the team.’
Asked if he thought his team’s penalty was justified, the German coach replied: ‘I didn’t see the penalty, so I can’t say, but I think so.’
Flick also spoke about Robert Lewandowski’s hamstring injury, which could keep the Polish forward out for around three weeks, saying: ‘We have to wait. In my experience, we should wait and see how he is tomorrow.’
