Jody Howard Housers has made a name for himself with movies like the upcoming “Sleeping With Other People” and the upcoming sci-fi thriller “Marauders.”
He’s now taking a break from directing movies to explore his passion for natural gas.
“There will always be heart in a story, but I think there will always have a place for suspense and drama in a movie,” Housings told MTV News.
“It’s a lot more complicated than it used to be, and it’s just more important that the suspense is there.”
He explained that a lot has changed since the 1970s.
“When we started out, we were in a place where people were dying, and there was a lot happening and we were being threatened,” he said.
He also told MTV he was surprised to find himself “on the front lines” of a “global emergency.” “
So that’s why it was important for me to create a movie that will have that kind of feeling.”
